COVID-19 Policies 2022
With winter approaching and Covid-19 spread still significant in the state of Colorado, we here at DakuCon are making the health of our attendees our top priority. With that in mind we will be requiring that masks be worn by all attendees, staff, guests, and vendors while in the convention space. We will not be requiring proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test, but for those reasons there will be no exceptions to the mask requirement**. If a staff member sees you without a mask on they will politely ask you to put one on. If you do not have a mask one will be provided for you by Con Ops or CRT while supplies last. If the convention is unable to provide a mask you will be required to provide your own. Multiple violations will result in expulsion from the convention without a refund.
**If you are not able to wear a face mask due to medical concerns, we do ask that a comparable face PPE such as a face shield be worn. If an alternate face cover cannot meet your needs, then unfortunately you will not be able to join us for Daku Con this year. If this is the case please reach out to us prior to this year’s convention and we will be happy to assist in refunding (Up to 3 days before the Convention Nov. 1st, 2022) or rolling over your registration to Daku Con 2023.
A mask is not required if you are eating or drinking, we just ask that people not abuse this rule. The mask requirement is for the convention floor only and does not extend to the hotel atrium. A mask is also not required for panelists while they are presenting, though they must stay at least 6 feet away from the audience while not wearing a mask.
Masks must be able to cover both your nose and your mouth at all times, must fit snugly and comfortably against the face, and cannot have any holes or damage. Cloth masks must have at least two layers. Because our goal is the safety of all attendees, we will not allow neck gaiters, bandanas, open mesh masks, or masks with an exhale valve. Daku Con staff has the authority to determine if the quality of your mask does not promote public safety and may ask you to put on a different mask.
